singapore's performance against malaysia has really been a woeful performance. i hope thay show what they can do tonight against laos. it's not like i'm anti-malaysia or what but to see your country perform so poorly you have to feel that if it were you, you might not have the skills but would have done a better job than them by playing our hearts out. i watch soccer often and i can tell when a player is not giving 100% in a match.
sigh...the holidays are ending and i won't have 6 months free to enjoy cause even though i won't be going to a jc, i still have somthing to do..anyway if i could go to a jc i would rather not go...i hate uniforms :) ....christmas is coming but i don't really celebrate it 'cos i'm not christian or catholic or watever religion but i'm forced into celebrating it by the cheer around and my cousin who's a catholic.
the amazing race concluded yesterday. thinking back a few weeks ago, i have to say the singapore leg of the amazing race was sorely disapointing. okay, we enjoyed and were proud that Phua Chua Kang was seen by the world but i felt that the producers could have used more interesting detours instead of hdb blocks and swimming with manatees in the zoo. if they wanted to use the zoo they should have asked them to eat durians with ah meng. that would have been more interesting for us viewers and the contestants even though i personally dislike durians. and to use mount faber as a pitstop was kinda weird. why not use the esplanade or orchard road? why on top of some silly hill? on a brighter note, i was rather sastified that derek and drew enjoyed their stay in singapore, claiming that everyone spoke english and that made it much easier.
another thing i spotted in yesterday's finale was the brothers(ken and gerard) and teri and ian's prouniciation of "quay". i'm not picky or wad, but wrong pronounciation of words irk me. a lot of things irk me. never mind. anyway, people here, or rather my countrymen seem to pronounce it as "key" while the americans pronounce it as "kuay". all along i've pronounced it as "kuay" and i think it should be that way. i don't know who invented "key" but the talking dictionary says it's "key" and that's got me all confused again. darn.
one final thing that i'm irritated with is that why do contestants in wheel of fortune singapore have to keep on adding a country behind the letter thay say!!! like n for norway, s for singapore etc. CAN'T THEY JUST SAY 'N' INSTEAD OF "N FOR NORWAY"! it's okay if i hear it once in a while but to hear this every round is really annoying. you don't need to showcase your WONDERFUL knowledge of countries in the world, do you? this sometimes complements how shallow the contestants are sometimes. look, if there's only 1 letter missing from the puzzle and you can't solve the puzzle, why are ya on the show? and why do you choose letters like "f" and "q" when it is clearly impossible that they will appear in the puzzle over letters like "s" and "r" which appear more commonly in english!! GET OFF THE SHOW IDIOT!!!! some also try to be too funny for their own good. i don't know why i bother watching the show.
11. Huang Yiwei which I slur into eeeeewei
Kinda gives the impression that he a gangster. But in reality is really not a gangster. He's seroius about his work and play and like to have a laugh once in a while. Kinda like my song partner cause we often end up singing horrible renditions of pop songs while together. Also seems to have a knack for hitching girls. And the girls seem to have made him a more responsible but still fun-loving person. Absolutely hates Chinese. Also tries to be stylo but well, ends up more like a guy who's trying to be stylo, if you know what I mean. Also seems to have developed a passion for guitars recently. A real nice guy.
Words of wisdom: Did you know that biscuits are made from flour? Amazing, isn't it?
