football or soccer (for USA only...grrr) in this post up...

pretty interesting stuff ahead of Man U's clash with Juventus...Juve have 15 players out most of them mainly through influenza and a few through twisted knees or tangled arms (sorry i couldn't resist it). Players out include Goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, Defender Lillian Thuram, Forwards Alessandro Del Piero and Marco Di Vaio and 11 other people. Even coach Marcello Lippi has flu. Personally, i think it's great that Thuram's out of the game as he's a great defender and would pose trouble to the both off-key Ryan Giggs and/or Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Ole can't seem to score these days and Giggs...obviously low on confidence.

Personally i felt that he (Giggs) should have scored against Arsenal but you can't really blame him for missing as he's been unlucky. He shot using his weaker right foot and from PERSONAL experience, your weaker foot - in my case the left - can betray you at times. i've made poor passes or miskicked with my left foot and it's been embarrasing. You connect with the ball but the ball dosen't seem to go where you want it. Giggs was also some distance out and needed some power in his weak foot and that was probably why he missed. Exerting unneccesary power in your weak foot.

On tonight's match, Man U will be expecting to win as Juve are having a 'flu crisis' and the match's at Old Trafford. They'll also want to show Arsenal who should win the Premiership and Champions League and distract the flying boot incident from the media. Juve still have good players available in Pavel Neved, Edgar Davids and David Trezeguet but i think they'll be too depleted (even the coaches are sick) for this match. Personally, I think it'll still be a tight affair and Man U will nick this one 2-0 with Ruud scoring both.

I've just remembered that you can use your weaker foot for kicking opponents to get a red card. Now that's something that's useful for your weaker foot - get a red card.
